Since 1899, the Rhodes Lynx and the Sewanee Tigers have battled for gridiron supremacy in one of the oldest rivalries in the South. And for over five decades, the victorious squad has celebrated by taking home the Edmund Orgill Trophy.
Last year, Sewanee and Rhodes not only played on the field, but pitted our alumni head-to-head to see which institution could accumulate the highest participation increase in donors leading up to the big game. While Rhodes prevailed on the field, Sewanee took home the first Orgill Trophy Challenge. Both contests were very close!
This year the Challenge is back. Gifts received from September 7 up to the Rhodes-Sewanee game on October 12 will be counted. Which school’s alumni will emerge victorious? Well, that’s up to you!
